Job Summary:

University Cancer and Blood Center is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner/ Physican Assistant. This position will focus primarily on inpatient care of adults with blood and cancer disorders. You will integrate within the inpatient setting including other advanced practice providers and physicians in delivering outstanding inpatient care for hematology and oncology patients. You will be a member of a team that integrates clinical care and education to our patients. We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus!!

Key Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide independent care of hematology-oncology patients in the inpatient hospital service, in partnership with other members of the inpatient team.
  • Write medication and chemotherapy orders in collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Provide timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) of progress notes, transfer documentation, and discharge summaries.
  • Interpret diagnostic and monitoring tests.
  • Provide coordination of care between the inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in the treatment of patients.
  • Coordinate care with other members of the UCBC team and other specialties and services.
  • Assist other UCBC providers in communications with outside referring and primary care providers.
  • Coordinate and assist with education of new patients and families.
  • Provide educational support to nursing and support staff.

Qualifications:
  • Current NP or PA License in the state of GA
