Overview:

Sentara Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Behavioral Health team in Harrisonburg, Virginia, providing care for adolescents in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).

This role offers the opportunity to support adolescents who require a higher level of support than standard outpatient care but do not meet criteria for inpatient hospitalization. Patients attend the program Monday through Friday from 9a-3p. The APP will provide care to participants actively enrolled in the program, as well as to recently discharged patients who are awaiting transition to community-based outpatient providers.

Position Highlights:  

  • Location: 25 W. Water St., 3rd Floor, Harrisonburg VA 22801
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8a-4:30p (No call, weekends, or holidays)
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing medication monitoring.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team delivering group and individual therapy services
  • Maintain an average daily schedule of approximately 10 patient visits, including both onsite and follow-up care.
  • Provide transitional follow-up care for patients after discharge, typically for 3 to 6 months, until they establish with a community outpatient provider.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $100,900.80 - $312,000.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
