Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (PA/NP/APRN) - Instructor Clinical Practice



Job Summary:

Pediatric Cardiology Instructor of Clinical Practice position (full-time, 100% appointment) within the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Cardiology.

Key Responsibilities:
• APP coverage of all Heart Transplant patients, both inpatient and outpatient. Patient care responsibilities conducted in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Exercise independent decision-making related to clinical management of patient population, as well as provide comprehensive case management for a group of primary patients.
• Exercise leadership in managing plan of care including current and ongoing needs for patients in all phases of heart transplant process.
• Assume on-call responsibilities (during work hours and off work hours) for heart transplant team.

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters' degree or higher, appropriate to the program
• Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certified
• Acute Care Certification (NP only)
• Current Advanced Provider Colorado License
• Current Certifications in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Minimum 3 Years' Experience in Pediatric Healthcare
• Prescriptive authority or eligible for certification.

Condition of Employment:
• Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
• Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $111,000 to $135,000
