SummarySinai Hospital is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neurosurgery and Neurology teams. This role involves performing a variety of clinical duties and technical procedures to assist in the delivery of healthcare services to patients within our Neurosurgery and Neurology departments. You will play a key role in coordinating the care of in-patient and emergency department patients, helping deliver specialized neurocare across a wide range of procedures and conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients in the Neurosurgery and Neurology departments, attending to both in-patient and emergency department needs.
- Assist with a variety of neurocritical care procedures including craniotomies, spinal surgeries, and diagnostic testing such as ICP monitoring and CSF drainage trials.
- Perform duties in compliance with hospital and departmental policies to ensure safety for both patients and staff.
- Maintain active engagement with continuing education, identifying training and development opportunities.
- Ensure documentation compliance with hospital and department policies, including maintaining National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and Maryland State Licensure requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and management of neurocritical and general neurosurgery patients.
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Physician Assistant or CRNP or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
