Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWHAT TO EXPECTAs an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer V, you will lead large-scale engineering programs and define manufacturing strategies focused on recapitalization, capital investment planning, and operational capability across the Americas.
This role operates at a highly strategic level, requiring deep expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence senior leadership. You will lead complex, high-risk projects and programs while setting direction for engineering execution and long-term manufacturing capability.
The role is centered on enterprise-level manufacturing engineering including capital strategy, process innovation, system integration, and performance optimization. You will play a key role in shaping engineering standards, guiding investment decisions, and driving alignment across multiple sites and functions.
You will partner closely with senior leadership, plant leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure engineering strategies align with business objectives.
Key responsibilities:Program & Strategic Leadership- Leads large, complex recapitalization programs and capital initiatives with significant scope, risk, and business impact
- Defines project strategies, execution approaches, and resource allocation
- Aligns engineering initiatives with division-level objectives and long-term business goals
Manufacturing Engineering Strategy- Establishes direction for manufacturing systems, equipment standards, and process capabilities
- Anticipates business, technology, and operational changes and drives proactive improvements
- Develops innovative engineering solutions to address complex and evolving challenges
Enterprise Problem Solving & Innovation- Solves unique, complex problems with broad organizational impact using conceptual and innovative thinking
- Leads development of new processes, technologies, or engineering practices
- Drives continuous advancement of manufacturing capabilities
Executive Influence & Decision Making- Communicates complex concepts and influences senior leaders and executives to drive alignment and decisions
- Makes authoritative recommendations that significantly impact business performance
- Balances competing priorities and sets direction across programs and initiatives
Technical Leadership & Expertise- Serves as a recognized subject matter expert within the organization
- Provides technical leadership, consultation, and guidance to engineering teams and leadership
- Leads and mentors engineers across multiple levels
Standards & Organizational Impact- Drives development and standardization of engineering processes, tools, and best practices
- Ensures alignment of manufacturing engineering practices across sites and regions
- Influences long-term capability development and continuous improvement
Requirements and Preferred SkillsABOUT YOU- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 11-15 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related environment
- Deep expertise in manufacturing engineering, capital projects, and process/system design
- Proven ability to lead complex, high-impact programs and influence organizational direction
- Strong business acumen and ability to align engineering with strategic objectives
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, including executive-level interactions
- Recognized as a subject matter expert in area of specialization
