INTEGRIS Health Advanced Cardiac Care (IACC), is recruiting for a Full-time, BC/BE Cardiologist, specializing in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant. The successful candidate will join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and exhibit expertise in all aspects of Advanced Heart Failure, including cardiac transplantation, and Mechanical Circulatory Support., supporting inpatient, outpatient, and regional outreach services.

INTEGRIS Health Heart Hospital is the most comprehensive adult heart hospital in the state of Oklahoma, providing access to cardiology services ranging from HeartScan Calcium Score screenings, cardiac catheterization, open heart surgery, and the only advanced cardiopulmonary program in the state of Oklahoma-offering both heart and lung transplant.

INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center is a 774 licensed bed, tertiary care trauma center that serves as the hub and flagship hospital of INTEGRIS Health. The hospital is at the center of leading-edge medicine across two campuses, housing nine Centers of Excellence, and includes INTEGRIS Heart Hospital, INTEGRIS Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute, INTEGRIS Children's and one of the nation's foremost burn centers.

The Physician provides direct patient care.

Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

Responsibilities

The Physician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately and documents information completely by use of written notes or dictation on a timely basis
  • Identifies relevant medical issues accurately and uses appropriate procedures and testing
  • Completes and maintains problem list, medication list, disease management forms, preventative maintenance flow sheets and other medical record forms
  • Participates in the quality improvement and medical management plans as directed by the Medical Operating Committee
  • Provides direction to staff members for an efficient and smooth running team
  • Ensures fiscal viability of the practice
  • Complies with policies and procedures if applicable.
  • The Physician is responsible for patients.

This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and incidents of workplace violence. Must follow universal safety precautions. Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals.
