Responsibilities

This is a full time position, Monday - Friday, hours are generally 8:30 am - 5 pm (may need to flex a little earlier or stay a little later). This position is based at our downtown hospital's Occupational & Employee Health location, but will have to travel to community events and to our Lutherville Occupational & Employee Health practice from time to time.

Our Clinical Nurses help us maintain this goal by:
  • Triaging patients who present with work related injuries
  • Monitoring clinic flow to ensure patient are seen in a timely fashion
  • Referral scheduling and authorizations.
  • Patient education
  • Support MA staff as needed.
  • Various other duties as directed by management and clinical supervisors

Requirements

  • Education and Work Experience:
  • Must possess a degree from an accredited nursing school - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • One or more years experience in emergency room, occupational health facility, etc.
  • License Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse Maryland Board of Nursing License
  • Certification Requirements:CPR
  • Age Specific Care Provided For:
        • Adolescents
        • Adults
      • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
        • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
          • Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
          • Microsoft Outlook
          • Meditech (if applicable to position)
          • Epic (if applicable to position)
          • Performance Manager/NetLearning
        • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
        • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
        • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
        • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
        • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

        • Must possess skills in critical thinking and prioritization
