Job Title: Adult Psychiatrist

Location: Oshkosh, WI

Working Model: In-person

Employee Type: .8 - 1.0 FTE, Full Time

As an Adult Psychiatrist at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental illnesses and emotional disorders for the adult population. You will evaluate patients' mental and physical well-being, create personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medication as needed. This role plays a crucial part in supporting patients' needs and promoting improved mental health outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat various mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse disorders.
  • Conduct complete history and physical assessments and follow up appointments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring their effectiveness and potential side effects.
  • Educate patients on medication management, including the importance of consistency, side effect management, and potential long-term impacts.
  • Offer immediate support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, including suicidal ideation, violent tendencies, or severe distress.
  • Participate in case reviews, multidisciplinary team meetings, and clinical supervision.
  • Ensure a patient-centered approach by fostering a supportive and empathetic therapeutic environment.


Requirements:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license the State of Wisconsin and Board certified in Psychiatry.
  • Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, with In-depth knowledge of the DSM-5 and the ability to evaluate complex psychiatric conditions and provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Knowledge of both pharmacological treatments and psychotherapeutic techniques.
  • Understanding of medication management protocols, including how to monitor for effectiveness, adjust dosages, and manage side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Strong working proficiency with Microsoft Suite and using electronic health records (EHR) systems.


Compensation: This is an exempt position. Total earnings for this position will range from $290,000.00 - $350,000.00 annually,

*Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a 1.0 FTE.
