Full Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Asst. Director of HR & Administration, as well as indirectly under the Facilities and Hospitalities (F&H) Manager, the Administrative Support Services Assistant position has responsibility for the performance of clerical/administrative activities, both primary and as back-up to the legal administrative assistants and the receptionist. This position will perform a variety of administrative support duties, with limited supervision, and provide on-site overflow logistical assistance. In addition, the position is responsible for the following:
Responsibilities and Duties:
General administrative support services
Provide onsite administrative coverage for CT, including both CT-based and visiting attorneys/staff
Accept and respond to LAASupport requests, coordinating with on-site personnel in other offices where necessary
Maintain calendars and contacts
Room scheduling/reservations (individual and group meetings)
Make travel arrangements
Respond timely to emails requesting other assistance
Documentation
Proofread documents upon attorney request
Perform photocopying, scanning, faxing, binding, filing, etc.
Prepare legal correspondence, documents, electronic filings, etc.
Create and maintain files, prepare new client/matter forms; engagement letters, etc.
Create binders
Other
Serve as backup legal admin and reception support during staff absences and office rotations
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
2+ years of general office/administrative experience required, prior law firm experience is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
General knowledge of office equipment and tools
Strong Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and various document management tools
Ability to build rapport with attorneys and professional staff
Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
The ability to work independently but within a team environment

Position Details
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, non-exempt level position. Final rate of pay will be commensurate with the incumbent's experience, with a targeted hiring range of $36.00 - $49.00 per hour (the upper range reserved for highly qualified applicants). This position is currently available in our CT office location only.
