Summary

About the Position: Serves as an Administrative Officer in the Operations Directorate of Army Audit Agency.

Duties

Help

  • Oversees projects and is delegated full authority to make decisions on behalf of the director.
  • Directs long range planning for prospective changes in agency budget, logistics, and security functional areas and programs.
  • Facilitates, organizes, and simultaneously leads multiple study teams of subject matter experts.
  • Directs courses of action to accomplish the mission in the area of budget, logistics and security.
  • Examines the operation on a continual basis and evaluates the overall effectiveness of various program efforts.

  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security clearance.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 25% for this position.
  • This position is subject to drug testing. You will be required to sign a release form and pass a pre-employment drug screen. Once hired, you will remain subject to random urinalysis testing throughout your employment.
  • This is a Supervisory position and may require a supervisory probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience: 1) directing leadership, budget, security, logistics, and administrative decisions ; 2) evaluating strategic plans to propose changes ensuring agency processes are met; 3) optimizing restricted agency programs through the strategic formulation and revision of plans, policies, and operational frameworks; 4) translating complex regulations and work directives into actionable operational policies for the agency; 5) executing systemic reviews, qualitative analyses, and program evaluations to validate the effectiveness of agency missions and functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
