Join a highly respected team of Acute Care Surgeons supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center in Macon, Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity for a PA or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to work alongside experienced surgeons and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced inpatient environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Position Highlights

  • Full-time, inpatient APP position Monday – Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
  • Average patient census of approximately 15 patients per day
  • Collaborative team-based practice with experienced surgeons and APPs Opportunity to manage complex surgical and trauma patients
  • Work within a premier Level I Trauma Center

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care
  • Participate in daily rounding and multidisciplinary care discussions
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
  • Manage patient admissions, consults, and follow-up care as appropriate
  • Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care and documentation

Candidate Highlights

  • Certified as a PA or Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification

  • 8 Physicians
  • 8 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Providers work collaboratively to deliver comprehensive surgical and trauma care while maintaining a strong culture of teamwork, education, and clinical excellence.
