Join the hospital trusted by Chicago's Southland, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, in this role as a Rehabilitation Supervisor for our Harvey location

In this role as an Acute Care Rehabilitation Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations of the department. This will include the overall patient experience and the promotion of high standards of care set forth by Ingalls Health System.

Essential Functions:
  • Monitors professional regulatory climate with recommendations for process improvement to address change
  • Responsible for recruitment and selection along with subsequent orientation, training, performance management, and ongoing development needs of staff. Implements corrective action when necessary
  • Participates in operating budget process.
  • Manages PTO for department
  • Oversees timecard approval
  • Maintains and monitors patient cancellation report with action plans to reduce cancellations. Establishes target goals and provides monthly updates with results on the outpatient shared drive.
  • Maintains equity among clinical staff and between clinical and support staff
  • Supports the emotional and physical needs of patients and staff
  • Enforces policies of Ingalls Health System
  • Uses quarterly rounding with all staff using the department workday assessment worksheet or like measuring tool that includes a summary of results and action plan based on feedback.
  • Plans, implements, coordinates, and reviews PI with program adjustments to address opportunities/deficiencies
  • Educates staff on PI, current department goals, and objectives
  • Provides discipline specific patient care as needed
  • Monitors PRC monthly and shares with department staff including action plan implementation to improve scores
  • Plans, implements, coordinates, and reviews PI with program adjustments to address opportunities/deficiencies
  • Collaborates with Director/Manager on program and site/system initiatives.
  • Addresses internal and external customer satisfaction issues; collaborates with department and site leadership to address improvements
  • Coordinates and leads monthly department meetings
  • Coordinates with inter-hospital departments (EVS, plant operations, etc) for physical plant management
  • Responds to emails within 24 hour period
  • Manages the overall patient experience to a positive outcome
  • Responds to patient and physician concerns in a timely manner
  • Participates in system level committees and projects as a therapy representative
  • Implements IMC initiatives in respective area
  • Implements protocols to address changes to meet regulatory requirements
  • Develops and enhances physician and internal/external referral relationships.
  • Maintains quality and promotes department growth

Required Qualifications:
