  • 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment

A leading healthcare provider is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapistto evaluate and treat patients of all ages in an acute care setting, develop and modify individualized plans of care, deliver high-quality physical therapy services, serve as a clinical resource for staff and students, and promote excellence in patient-centered rehabilitation.

Acute Care Physical TherapistResponsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients of all ages and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on clinical assessments, functional needs, and patient goals.
  • Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions while modifying plans of care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes and functional recovery.
  • Monitor patient progress, document treatment effectiveness, and adjust interventions to ensure safe, high-quality rehabilitation services.
  • Serve as a role model in the delivery of professional physical therapy services while acting as a clinical resource for staff and students.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Acute Care Physical Therapist Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation techniques, treatment planning, rehabilitation principles, and patient care.

Shift:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
