Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Acquisition Program Manager, NH-1101-03 to work at Joint Base San Antonio, Lackland.

AFICC/AQB is seeking highly qualified, professional applicants to fill a NH-1101-03 Acquisition Program Manager (APM) position that manages an $80B enterprise portfolio that varies from construction, security forces and AF services publications. The APM's primary responsibility is to lead multi-function teams and deliver timely, effective, efficient, and affordable DAF acquisition solutions to our Mission Partners in support of strategic objectives.

Salary $90,823 - $140,403

Travel authorized up to 25%

US citizenship is required.

This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).

The employee must meet or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWlA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.

Employee is expected to meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management.

Knowledge of business, industrial management; contracting procedures, technical concepts. and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities.

Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with and/or influence the systems acquisition process.

Ability to plan, organize, lead, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment, and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of acquisition functions and personnel in support of the process.

6-9 years' experience requested.
