Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate, is seeking a highly qualified Acquisition Program Manager ([redacted]M) to fill a NH-1101-03 vacancy in the Nuclear Networks Division (NCN) in support of the Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (GASNT), the Very Low Frequency Enterprise Program Office (VLF EPO), and Sentinel at Hanscom AFB, MA.

This position is an NH-1101-03 which has a typical 2026 salary range of $101,375 - $156,715

Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (GASNT) Program

This role is for a Program Manager of the Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (GASNT). The main responsibility is managing the development and installation of a program that supports Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) for ground-based platforms. The position's objective is to manage the program's cost, schedule, performance, and risk effectively. The Program Manager will advise leadership on technical design, development, acquisition, testing, and operational issues related to systems engineering, finance, and performance. This individual is expected to identify and resolve highly complex, cross-organizational problems and proactively present status updates, decision options, and reports to Senior Leaders.

DUTIES:
• Leads a team of government and contracted program managers, engineers, and acquisition support personnel in the design, development, test, production, and delivery.
• Represents the organization at executive levels within the government and to contractor/industry representatives, delivering presentations on project/program status, accomplishments, challenges encountered and anticipated, support requirements, and the integration program and project objectives.
• Establishes management controls such as milestones, expenditure rates, management indicators, and management reviews to reflect program status and provide early detection of emerging problems.
• Advises Branch and Division leadership on programmatic and technical risks associated with implementing proposed solutions.
• Provides continuous assessment/evaluation of goals, objectives, strategies, and performance to ensure a sound basis for long-range acquisition program management processes and follow-on system life cycle support planning.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 5-7 years of experience as a Lead PM, leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for hardware through execution of Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) and/or Production & Sustainment activities of an ACAT I/II/III program.
• Experience preparing and presenting briefings, reports, findings and recommendations, program information, written summaries and results from synthesized data and/or metric analysis etc., with senior leadership, external stakeholders and customers (e.g., government contractors, other government agencies, federal Labs, etc.)
• An ability to make connections among technical and organizational system elements.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills with demonstrated experience in leading, influencing and collaborating in a diverse team environment that includes external functional and program stakeholders.
• An ability to see the big picture from concept to development to operations, yet able to analyze and understand system-level specifications when necessary.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 3 years of experience with manufacturing processes related to solid or liquid rocket motor propulsion systems.
• Expertise with earned value management acquired as a DoD or contractor control account manager.
• A relevant master's degree.

• Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
• Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Program Management "Practitioner" certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
• In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and annually thereafter.
