NP: Cardiology: Heart Failure | Transplant Services - Banner University Medical Center, TucsonBanner University Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide care for hospital-based patients with advanced heart failure, mechanical support and heart transplant. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic NP with experience and/or new grad with appropriate training to be part of an established Advanced Heart Failure Program. The qualified candidate will work closely with our team of specialized physicians, nursing staff, case managers and support staff and should be comfortable in a dynamic environment and with facilitating change.
- Work Schedule: Full-time. M-F first shift coverage, with shared weekend call planned.
- Patient Volumes : 8-12 average daily
Essential Functions and Required Qualifications: - Current Board Certification
- Acute Care Certification for NPs
- Experience with Heart Failure, Ventricular Assist Devices, and Transplant Services optimal
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care
- Detail-oriented; dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situations
- Current Arizona Medical License
- Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
- Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
