Employer Reporting Business Leader

Lead a High-Performing Team

Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) is seeking an Employer Reporting Business Leader to provide leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight for the Employer Reporting team. This role is responsible for developing and supporting staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven work environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of professionals.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, performance management, and ongoing staff support.
  • Set clear expectations and monitor performance to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely results.
  • Serve as the primary resource for staff and management on employer reporting processes, policies, and applicable laws.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Communicate complex technical and legal information to staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve policies, procedures, workflows, and training materials.
  • Lead team meetings, individual coaching sessions, and special projects.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve complex issues and improve business processes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a related field and at least five (5) years of supervisory or team leadership experience demonstrating success in leading and developing staff; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Salary: Begins at $88,462

7:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday
40 hours a week, 80 hours within a 2 week pay period
