Description
What You'll DoAs our Accounting Supervisor, you'll help keep our financial operations running smoothly by:
- Leading and developing a team of accounting professionals and interns
- Managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions for accuracy
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP, GASB, and internal control standards
- Overseeing Oracle NetSuite accounting processes and workflow approvals
- Assisting with financial reporting, annual audits, and budget analysis
- Partnering with the CFO to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
- Supporting grant accounting, financial compliance, and organizational initiatives
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work across departments to provide financial guidance and help drive operational excellence.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
- At least two years of supervisory or senior accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (GASB experience is highly preferred)
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite or another cloud-based ERP system
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities
- A commitment to accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus
- Experience in governmental or nonprofit accounting is highly desirable
Minimum salary starts at $75,623.44 per year with the possibility of additional compensation based on years of experience, demonstrated skills, certifications, and education.
