Salary range (but not limited to):
87,200 - 106,600

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role
We’re looking for a Accounting Specialist for our growing team!
What you’ll do here:
- Contribute to the production and distribution of various quarterly and annual reports, primarily to the regulatory authorities of all Canadian insurance companies.
- Participate in the monthly closing process including performance and documentation of related internal controls.
- Take part in various projects that may deal with complex topics and be able to anticipate their impacts on regulatory reporting.
- Participate in the preparation of detailed analyses including the quarterly analytical review.
- Participate in process standardization, simplification and automation initiatives.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of deliverables according to the evolving needs of our internal and external partners.
- Assist in facilitating the audit process and liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Perform other related duties (pension fund accounting, ad-hoc management requests, etc.).
What you bring to the table:
- CPA accounting designation
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting and accounting standards (IFRS)
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously and challenge ways of doing things.
- Fast learning capability and agility
- Strong analytical, synthesis and rigor skills
- Leadership, team spirit, autonomy and efficiency
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization, including management and some external stakeholders.
- Good process documentation skills
- Intermediate Excel level
- Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion is an asset.
- Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry is an asset.
- Bilingual: French and English, Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking
