We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Accounting Manager to join our team.
Key Functions:- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reports.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Support project/job cost tracking and construction-related accounting activities as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits and maintain supporting documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiencies.
- Oversee accounting staff, review work for accuracy, and support department operations.
Desired Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Construction industry accounting experience preferred but not required.
- CPA or other professional certification preferred but not required.
Why Heavy Materials?Compensation range for this role is $110-130k.
