JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our rapidly growing accounting team in Boise, ID. As part of our Accounting Resource group, you will be a key member of a visible, accessible and dedicated service team in a rewarding and high-energy work environment.  This role will oversee the monthly close process for our Home Health and Hospice segment, support external reporting requirements, and partner closely with accounting leaders to develop and execute the strategic vision of the accounting function.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process while serving as the primary accounting partner for assigned locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies
  • Ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Assist with external audit activities, including annual audits and quarterly reviews, and serve as a key liaison for audit requests and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with SOX requirements and internal control standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a high-performing and engaged team
  • Establish clear performance expectations and promote accountability and continuous improvement
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and professional development
  • Partner with the Controller and Assistant Controller to define and execute the strategic direction of the accounting department
  • Develop scalable processes, policies, and controls that support the company's growth objectives
  • Evaluate existing workflows and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring account balances are accurate, adequately supported, and resolved in a timely manner
  • Oversee the journal entry process, including the preparation of complex journal entries and the review and approval of entries prepared by others, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adequate support, and compliance with internal control requirements
  • Assist in the preparation and review of internal and external financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery
  • Build strong relationships with field leaders and serve as a trusted financial partner, providing insights and recommendations that support organizational goals and operational excellence

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and proven ability to apply technical accounting principles
  • 4+ Years of Experience in a Corporate or Public Accounting setting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and manage a team
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial results
  • Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with other Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization

 

Preferences:

  • Healthcare industry experience, including familiarity with multi-location operations and healthcare financial reporting
  • CPA license
  • Experience leading process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Experience partnering with operational and field leadership

Compensation: Depending on Experience
