JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Plans and coordinates the monthly close process across lines of business in partnership with Greystar India, ensuring consistency and accuracy of close activities and balance sheet reconciliations. Continuously evaluates processes and procedures to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements accounting control procedures by analyzing balance sheet trends and recommending appropriate review processes for teams.
  • Coordinates with the consolidation team to identify high-risk balance sheet areas and define review processes.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve monthly close process adherence and address capability gaps across lines of business and regions.
  • Partners with the Greystar India team to ensure the accuracy of cash management and banking reconciliations and their timely completion following month-end close.
  • Collaborates with the Greystar India team to maintain consistent processes across functions and resolve performance inconsistencies.
  • Completes various financial, accounting, and administrative reports and analyses, and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s).
  • Identifies opportunities and areas for improvement, and offers suggestions and/or implements procedures, processes, or tools that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Keeps up-to-date on current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training programs, researching and/or subscribing to the internet or other professional publications, and utilizing other appropriate method(s) to obtain business and professional information, and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility.


Physical Demands:
  • Incumbents must be able to view computer screens, mobile devices and other electronic equipment, paper reports, and journals for extended periods of time where visual strain may result.
  • Occasional travel may be required to participate in business meetings, attend training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to write and communicate effectively to prepare and explain financial data to business leaders and managers, team members, clients, internal and external auditors, and other business contacts.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and corporate accounting and job cost accounting programs in order to complete required reports. Oracle experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated management and supervisory skills sufficient to lead, direct, evaluate, and mentor subordinate team members and/or peers.
  • Employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of an accounting and financial background sufficient to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in accordance with accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the application and usage of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • College degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000.

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
