The Accounting Manager leads financial administration and management for a business by communicating profitability and potential risks, assisting the controller for month-end close, and managing Work in Process (WIP) while overseeing a portfolio of multiple +$500M projects. This role will sit primarily in the office (Columbus or Cleveland), but travel to the project job sites meeting with the project teams and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Manages workload and performance of (3-5) direct reports including Account Practitioners, Senior Accountants, and Accountants, ensuring alignment with overall company standards
- Assists the Business Controller with staff meetings and peer group meetings regularly
- Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
- Effectively communicates project financial health to non-financial operations leadership.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to learn construction management and payment management software
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For Ohio this ranges from $110,000-$151,250 plus benefits and retirement program.
