Salary Range: $78,588.00 - $125,740.00AnnuallyHiring Salary Range: $78,588.00 - $102,164.00 AnnuallyJob Summary: An Accountant Supervisor plans, schedules and coordinates accounting work for a City government agency. Work of this class involves supervising accounting personnel.
Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Employees work a conventional workweek. Work is performed in an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires minimal physical exertion.
Minimum Qualifications: On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must: Education: Have a bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
AND Experience: Have five years of experience in performing accounting work.
OR Equivalency Notes: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience including 30 credits in accounting and business law and 6 additional credits in statistics or data processing.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Knowledge of accounting and routine auditing practices and procedures.
- Ability to compile and write accounting reports and budgets.

Probation All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation.
