This opportunity is in the Accounting & Finance Department.

Our Accounting & Finance Department is dynamic and collaborative. Role Description:

As Accountant III, IFRS, you will play a key role in Safety National's ongoing reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). You will collaborate with internal accounting teams, external consultants, Reliance Standard Life (RSL), Delphi Financial Group (DFG), and Tokio Marine to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

In this role, you will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and consolidated reports, as well as perform internal controls, while assisting with quarterly and annual filings. You will also research emerging accounting standards, document accounting policies, recommend process improvements, and help strengthen reporting processes and internal controls. Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

Required Qualifications:
  • 2 or more years of insurance industry or relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial reports.
  • Ability to research accounting guidance and document accounting policies.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external business partners while managing multiple reporting deadlines.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Big Four public accounting experience.
  • CPA designation.
  • Experience with IFRS reporting.
  • Experience identifying process improvements and enhancing accounting controls.

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target base salary range for this position is $78,000 to $100,500. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
