Full Job Description

As an Account Manager 6 Upstream Chemicals Equipment, you will be responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, ensuring service excellence, and supporting commercial growth across upstream chemical applications. You will act as the primary customer interface, collaborating with field service personnel, operations teams, and business leaders to deliver value-driven solutions while supporting operational and financial objectives.

You will develop and execute account plans, identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes, and drive consistent service delivery. This role requires balancing technical expertise, customer engagement, and operational execution to support long-term customer success.

As an Account Manager 6 Upstream Chemicals Equipment, you will be responsible for:

 Managing assigned customer accounts and serving as the primary point of contact for customer interactions.

 Building strong customer relationships to support retention, growth, and long-term partnership opportunities.

 Overseeing service technicians supporting customer accounts and ensuring effective service execution.

 Identifying opportunities to expand services and support account growth through indirect upselling initiatives.

 Developing and executing operational plans aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.

 Monitoring account performance and ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and service expectations.

 Partnering with operations, sales, and technical teams to resolve customer challenges and improve overall service delivery.

 Recommending and implementing improvements to products, processes, and procedures that enhance customer value and operational efficiency.

 Collaborating with senior business stakeholders to communicate customer needs, project requirements, and operational priorities.

 Presenting recommendations, findings, and performance results to both internal and external stakeholders.

 Supporting standardized project execution processes and implementing updated business procedures as required.

 Managing a diverse portfolio of customers while balancing commercial, operational, and technical priorities.

 Providing technical guidance related to chemical applications, water treatment programs, and process treatment solutions.

 Ensuring adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality requirements at customer locations.

 Traveling to field locations to support customer operations, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen customer relationships.

To be successful in this role you will:

 Have a Technical Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Have a minimum of 7 years of directly related experience supporting SAGD/Thermal operations, water treatment, process treatment, or upstream chemical applications.

 Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of chemical treatment programs and production optimization solutions.

 Possess strong customer relationship management and account management skills.

 Have a proven ability to solve complex operational and technical challenges.

 Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 Have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

 Be willing and able to travel regularly to customer field locations.

 Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

Desired Characteristics

 Chemical Technology Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.

 10+ years of experience supporting conventional and thermal (SAGD) operations.

 Experience in account management within the oilfield services, chemicals, or energy industry.

 Strong knowledge of water treatment, process treatment, and production chemical applications.

 Proven ability to influence customers and stakeholders while driving operational improvements and business growth.
