How you’ll add value

As an energetic, self-reliant individual you will translate innovative solutions of Azenta’s consumables and instruments portfolio into sales. You will partner with customers who store and analyze chemical compounds and biological samples. Your role will be to enable them to develop strong workflows in sample management, automation and PCR contributing to new treatments for the future.

You will sell Azenta’s specialized storage and tracking products, PCR consumables and sealing solutions. This will include our very comprehensive range of 2D coded tubes, barcode readers, PCR consumables, sample storage products and instruments.

Ideal candidates will have a successful track record in territory development and demonstrated sales results. You will have the benefit of working with and learning from a team of individuals with in-depth product knowledge and expertise. This Account Manager position is an ideal opportunity for individuals who demonstrate the ability to effectively manage work independently and have the ability to travel (around or above 50%).

What you’ll do

  • Manage and develop accounts within your specified territory

  • Working with other Azenta product line representatives to sell the full Azenta solution
  • Working independently to develop new leads and opportunities
  • Supporting distribution representatives
  • Acting as a resource to customers and distributor representatives for product and company knowledge

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Biology or Life Sciences preferred)
  • 5+ years relevant experience in account management selling to various stakeholders in a lab environment in a designated region/ territory (Northeast – NY, OH, RI, NH, VT, ME, DE, MI)
  • Proven track record in meeting/ exceeding sales goals
  • Experience with and knowledge of the sample storage and/or molecular biology market is desirable.
  • Demonstrates keen business acumen, sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment; a consultative approach to managing client relationships
  • Confident communication (written and oral) skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders of internal and external organizations
  • Must have valid driver’s license

Working Conditions/Schedule

  • Home office based (Northeast – New York City)
  • Frequent travel within the assigned region (> 50%)
  • Compensation range 100,000-125,000 base and 50,000-65,000 incentive target (uncapped) plus car allowance. Full benefits package plus 401k with corporate match.

United States Base Compensation: $98,000.00 - $117,000.00

The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications),  qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
