Full Job Description
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The Account Executive serves as the primary client contact and strategic advisor for assigned accounts. The individual in this role builds strong, consultative relationships, understands client business and financial objectives, and provides data-driven recommendations to improve plan performance, cost containment, and overall service delivery. The Account Executive partners cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely, accurate, and seamless execution of client strategies, while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance value, strengthen retention and support growth.

A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY
  • Serves as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor, managing client relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership success.
  • Leads strategic account planning and client stewardship, aligning service delivery with client business, financial, and operational objectives.
  • Analyzes claims, utilization and reporting data to identify trends, risks and cost-saving opportunities, and delivers actionable recommendations to improve plan performance.
  • Proactively identifies client challenges and develops tailored, solution-oriented strategies to enhance healthcare affordability, efficiency and outcomes.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with internal teams, carriers, vendors, and partners to deliver integrated service solutions and resolve complex client issues.
  • Maintains accurate and complete client documentation, including communications, reporting, service activity and issue resolution tracking.
  • Oversees account activity including service plans, deliverables, reporting, and ongoing communication to ensure consistent execution and accountability.
  • Provides consultative guidance on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments impacting self-funded health plans and TPA services.
  • Identifies opportunities to expand services, strengthen client relationships, and support retention and growth initiatives.
  • Effectively leverages technology, reporting tools, and proprietary and emerging AI solutions to enhance data analysis, improve service delivery, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Four-year degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in account management, client services, sales, or a related customer-facing role within healthcare, benefits or insurance.
  • Experience in healthcare TPA, self-funded plans, employee benefits, or managed care environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of claims analysis, utilization reporting and healthcare cost-containment strategies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting healthcare plans (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA) preferred.
  • Strong presentation, consulting and client-facing communication skills preferred.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues and deliver solutions and resolve complex client issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with reporting tools, systems, or CRM platforms, with the ability to learn new software/systems.
