Account Executive – Healthcare Location: Remote, US Work Arrangement: RemoteThe Account Executive – Healthcare is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers and partners within the healthcare vertical, with the objective of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals. This role plays a critical part in driving enterprise-level revenue growth by identifying strategic opportunities, building meaningful relationships with key decision-makers, and delivering tailored solutions that address the unique challenges and needs of healthcare organizations. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, strategic sales plan to meet or exceed quota, including the identification and prioritization of high-impact opportunities within the healthcare vertical for both existing and prospective customers or partners.
  • Proactively initiate and maintain relationships with healthcare executives and key stakeholders to build trust, expand business relationships, and leverage all available company resources to develop and sustain a strong pipeline.
  • Develop and communicate accurate, real-time sales forecasts while continuously refining account management strategies and the overall sales process to drive efficiency and results.
  • Partner with sales solution engineers to develop and deliver compelling software demonstrations tailored to healthcare use cases; actively contribute to the preparation and presentation of those demonstrations.
  • Record all customer account information in the CRM, including opportunities, commitments, meaningful conversations, and customer visits or sales calls, ensuring data integrity and visibility across the organization.
  • Assess the viability of RFP requests within the healthcare space, directly influencing the quality of the response, and engage internal leadership to lead negotiations and drive complex deals to close on time and as forecasted.
Role Essentials
  • Experience in strategic account management or enterprise-level sales within the healthcare industry or a healthcare technology environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare market dynamics, industry regulations, and the business and technical needs of healthcare organizations.
  • Proficiency in opportunity management, account planning tools, and CRM platforms.
  • Strong ability to establish rapport, build trust, and navigate complex sales cycles with C-suite and senior-level healthcare stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to engage others with discretion, tact, and executive presence.
What We'd Like to See
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in enterprise or strategic healthcare technology sales.
  • Experience selling into health systems, hospitals, payers, or other healthcare organizations at an executive level.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA, and an understanding of healthcare IT ecosystems and workflows.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals independently and to completion.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate accurate sales forecasting on a real-time basis
  • Pro-actively initiate contact with potential customers, customers and partners on a regular basis to develop, maintain and expand business relationships. Collaborate with all available company resources to develop and maintain pipeline
  • Take proactive measures to streamline and constantly improve account management and the sales process
  • Partner with sales solution engineers in the development of software demonstrations for customers or potential customers; actively contribute and participate in software demonstration
  • Record all customer account information in the CRM, including opportunities, commitments, meaningful conversations, customer visits or sales calls
  • Understanding of best practices and market trends, as well as customer and potential customers business and technical needs. Pursue opportunities for company expansion and integration
  • Engage company specialist and support resources as needed to advance opportunities
  • Assist with determining the viability of Request for Proposal (RFP) requests and directly influence the appropriate development of the response
  • Attend and actively contribute to trade shows; ensure customers or potential customers are participating in company marketing efforts to the best of their ability
  • Develop the closing plan for accounts; engage internal leadership as necessary to help lead negotiation and contracting process to ensure deal is closed on time, as forecast
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
