Job Description

The qualified candidate for Account Director will have long-term career goals in meeting and event management with the intent of growing their accounts business and managing the project teams as it pertains to their accounts. They will be equipped with the experience as well as motivated to consult strategically with clients to promote Unbridled services, develop business within the client account, manage and build internal project teams and expand Unbridled's exposure to other new business. They should be extremely self-motivated, driven, committed and a dedicated team player.

Successful candidates will have the following:
  • 8+ Years meeting or event planning experience to include:
    • Hotel contract negotiation
    • Menu and décor planning
    • Meeting space management
    • Budget creation and management
    • Contract management
    • Vendor management
    • Attendee registration
    • Rooming list management
    • Transportation/manifest management
    • On-site operation, including staff management
    • Experience managing program deliverables that include creative design, content, production services, and video production.
    • Proven track record strategically consulting clients
    • Renew and grow business within an account
  • Industry-related experience applies - hotel, destination management, travel director, production
  • Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook, Database Management (Cvent or other industry attendee management software)
  • Effective, professional business communication skills, - written, presentation, client contact
  • Ability to manage a team of employees and oversee teams on larger or complex client-specific projects
  • Client facing positon requiring applicable candidates to maintain client relationships.
  • Travel savvy - ability to travel 1-2 weeks per month (on average, actual travel varies based on client requirements)
Preferred, but not required:
  • Industry Affiliations - MPI, PCMA, SITE, others
  • International meeting planning or travel experience
What you would be doing at Unbridled:
  • Develop and maintain strategic client relationships
  • Ensure health of client accounts
  • Develop account standards and processes
  • Grow account business and actively participate in renewal
  • Ensure quality performance of project teams assigned to specific projects
  • Communication with clients at all levels of organizations, written and conversational
  • Client contact for assigned accounts
  • Manage, mentor, and train team of three or more employees.
  • Financial responsibilities:
    • Ensure budget accuracy and integrity
    • Create program budgets
    • Participate in program reconciliation
    • Need a comprehensive understanding of client financial objectives year over year
    • Develop, maintain, and be responsible for fiscal forecast for each account assigned
  • Oversee online registration process and website development
  • Ensure program resume is created and accurate
  • On-site staffing management, maintaining standards of service and image
