Overview

The Account Director will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, leading strategic initiatives, and driving business growth. This role requires a proactive and self-directed leader with the ability to manage complex projects, foster client relationships, and deliver impactful business solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong agency experience, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to navigate complex organizations, build senior stakeholder relationships, and lead integrated marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned business, seeking to become a trusted advisor and foster strong, long-lasting relationships.
• Lead prioritization of weekly and daily Account Team activities, including hands-on day-to-day account leadership with the team; balancing agency and client needs, business objectives, team capacity, risk and meeting high expectations for the agency's output.
• Develop a deep understanding of client goals, business objectives, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics to provide strategic counsel and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Work with cross-disciplinary teams and agency partners to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and drive integration across multiple channels.
• Regularly communicate progress, insights, and recommendations to clients and key stakeholders.
• Anticipate and support risk assessments independently. Work in close partnership with discipline leads to identify and mitigate potential risks to the health and stability of the business, that protect both client value and agency profitability.
• Lead kickoff through wrap-up meetings with broader agency and partner stakeholders and ensure the success of projects and engagements meet client expectations and deliver measurable results.
• Effectively manage complex stakeholder groups and drive alignment across internal and external teams within large, matrixed organizations.
• Track and report on account financials, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Proactively expand relationships within current clients and identify opportunities for organic and broader business development opportunities.
• Support annual account planning processes and provide regular business updates independently and proactively.
• Support creation and management of SOWs and associated contract fulfillment requirements, approvals, change orders, recognize scope creep early, and follow-up actions independently and proactively.
• Mentor and support junior team members while delegating effectively, providing clear feedback, and fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment.

Qualifications
• 7+ years of professional experience in an account management, client services, or integrated marketing role within a fast-paced digital, media, or advertising agency.
• Experience supporting large enterprise organizations, preferably within energy, industrial, manufacturing, utilities, technology, or other highly regulated industries.
• Proven experience leading complex projects involving multiple workstreams, stakeholder groups, and cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable operating in fast-changing environments with incomplete information, shifting priorities, and multiple decision-makers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior client relationships and serve as a trusted business advisor.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy and sound judgment, knowing when to make decisions independently and when to escalate.
• Experience working across integrated marketing disciplines, including media, strategy, creative, digital, social, analytics, and communications.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, profitability, and scope management.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of corporate communications, sustainability, innovation, workforce, or stakeholder engagement initiatives is a plus.

Compensation Range: USD $97,375.00 - USD $133,300.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
