Nemours is hiring an Access Strategist to join our Jacksonville, Florida team.

The Access Strategist plays a key role in shaping how patients begin their care journey, helping ensure each individual is guided to the right provider, location, and appointment type at the right time. This role brings together clinical insight, operational strategy, and technology-driven solutions to design and sustain decision-supported scheduling workflows that are clear, consistent, and scalable. By leading the development and ongoing improvement of scheduling decision trees and access logic, the Access Strategist partners across clinical, operational, and IT teams to strengthen access, support self-service scheduling, and create a more seamless experience for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and lead the development of smart scheduling decision trees that guide patients and schedulers to the right visit type, provider, location, and referral pathway.
  • Create clear governance practices for scheduling logic, including intake, review, approval, version control, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Build practical documentation, standards, and training resources that make decision-supported scheduling easy to understand, adopt, and sustain.
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for decision-supported scheduling, helping teams navigate change and continuously improve access workflows.
  • Partner with Epic Scheduling and MyChart build teams to ensure scheduling tools are configured accurately and work reliably for both staff and patient self-scheduling.
  • Use performance trends, access data, and stakeholder feedback to identify gaps, reduce variation, and recommend enhancements that improve utilization and lead time.
  • Support the creation and refinement of educational materials and training programs that equip staff and stakeholders for successful adoption.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience required; three (3) to five (5) years of healthcare experience preferred, with an emphasis on patient access.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, and implementing workflows, policies, and procedures.
