Join our team as an Area Director of Finance!

As the Area Director of Finance, you're the numbers wizard in charge of budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss reporting, and keeping every penny accounted for across up to four hotels! Dive into a world of income auditing, cashiering, accounts payable, collections, tax compliance, payroll, and month-end magic. You'll be the champion of financial controls, ensuring every report is spot-on and every hotel's profitability shines. It's a huge responsibility-but you're never alone. Step into this high-profile Executive Committee role and make financial brilliance happen!

This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Maestro & Accuracy Aficionado: Ensure every finance function hits the right note-oversee daily and month-end reporting, payroll, income audits, AP/AR, and cash/credit management, all with precision and perfect timing!
  • Month-End Magician: Complete a seamless close each month-prepping journal entries, tracking accruals, reconciling the balance sheet, and ensuring tax reporting is spot-on, while breaking down profit performance like a pro.
  • Goal Getter & Strategy Architect: Build and achieve big financial goals-craft annual operating plans aligned with company vision, provide analytical support to departments, and lead the team in forecasting like future-telling superstars.
  • Business Booster & Controls Captain: Keep business practices sharp-champion a sales-driven culture, guarantee accurate P&Ls, tackle variance analysis, manage capital budgets, and safeguard assets through robust controls and audit oversight.
  • Team Coach & Culture Champion: Guide, train, and inspire the whole crew-offer actionable feedback, facilitate P&L reviews, support cross-training, and foster a high-performing, values-driven team that celebrates every win together!

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting and at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel finance or a related field.
  • Expert in budgeting, forecasting, profit & loss reporting, and analyzing financial data to formulate actionable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, cross-trained finance team.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly, both in writing and in group settings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS/PMS systems, and Excel; able to work flexible hours and maintain peak performance under pressure.
