Position OverviewThe Associate Accountant, External Reporting supports the preparation and filing of external financial reports and SEC filings for a major energy services company. This developmental role gives hands-on exposure to public company financial reporting, SEC compliance, U.S. GAAP, and financial statement disclosures. It is a strong opportunity for recent graduates looking to build a foundation in corporate accounting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K
- Support the preparation of earnings releases and other external reporting requirements
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statement disclosures and supporting documentation
- Prepare and post journal vouchers and basic accounting reports and analyses
- Work cross-functionally with Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting teams
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements
- Strong interest in financial reporting, SEC compliance, and technical accounting
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial applications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a corporate environment
