Compensation: $41.00/hr

Principal Accountabilities- Monitor boiler operation (pressure, temperature), including chemistry on water, safety checks and coordination of maintenance activities including lockout tagout and preventative maintenance completion with minimal guidance
- Record and document maintenance and other boiler related activities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical problems and provide follow-up as required
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly boiler operation checklist with occasional guidance
- Complete regular preventative boiler maintenance checks with little to no guidance
- Maintain building, roof, floor and report substandard conditions
- Perform emergency duties if required and understand various uses of fire-fighting equipment
- Operate ammonia refrigeration syste
- Other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer
Required Qualifications- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- 3rd class power engineering certificate
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud, noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of ABSA standards and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with boilers and steam
- Experience operating large scale industrial firetube boiler
- Experience in food manufacturing environment
- Experience in operating ammonia refrigeration system
