Full Job Description
Build and maintain a team of discipline engineers with varied specialties to assist Asset Teams, as well as other support teams, by providing engineering services throughout the organization.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and build a team of discipline engineers with varied specialties (electrical, instrumentation, process, structural, fire & gas, mechanical & other disciplines as needed) to assist Asset Teams, as well as other support teams, by providing engineering services throughout the organization. Adjust the makeup of the team and disciplines accordingly.
  • Assess each discipline engineers' strengths and weaknesses and set clear expectations for improving technical skills and effective interactions with multiple teams.
  • Build and maintain a strong team while encouraging individual growth and increasing capabilities.
  • Provide clear expectations to team members and hold them individually accountable for meeting their goals and showing results. Provide honest feedback and coaching to team members. Hold the team members accountable for their performance.
  • Build a team atmosphere where each member of the team feels valued and understands their importance, both individually and collectively to the organization.
  • Gracefully accept coaching and provide coaching, both for professional development and work process improvement in the company.
  • Assist the asset teams and project managers asses, scope, and support project development with the discipline engineers; create standard development stages for effective project execution.
  • Participates in the coordination of monthly employee open book management meetings and executive reports.
  • Responsible for all aspects for the monthly meetings including preparing schedules, presentation, and meeting materials as needed.
  • During the company's closing process is responsible for timely distribution of monthly internal financial reports, analysis and review of the reports for accuracy, and preparing and booking Operating Expense and AFE Accruals.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications
  • Fifteen (15) years minimum of engineering experience.
  • Experience in a management or supervisory role preferred.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
  • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:

Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Outlook).
Preferred: Strong working knowledge of SAP, Workday, Auto CAD, GAP modeling

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in engineering.


Certification, Licenses, Registration:
  • PE preferred but not required
