QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Washington State Teaching Certificate with proper endorsement required.
  • History/Social Studies endorsement required.
  • Knowledge and application of a variety of learning models, including differentiated instruction, GLAD and Professional Learning Communities.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the Social Studies Washington State Learning Standards.
  • Experience and /or knowledge of Danielson Instructional Framework.
  • Broad knowledge base of history curriculum and instructional strategies.
  • Evidence of leadership, organizational, classroom/student management and teamwork skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain a professional and positive working relationship with students, families, community and staff from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
  • Desired characteristics include flexibility, ability to project enthusiasm, a desire to learn new ideas and skills, and ability to use data to inform instruction.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience and demonstrated success in a secondary education or higher ed setting teaching History/Social Studies preferred.
  • Must complete and pass background check through Washington State Patrol and FBI.


RWC 49.58.110 REQUIREMENTS
Yearly Salary: $58,626 - $115,488 (Depending on Education & Experience)
