- English Language Arts endorsement or appropriate Washington State endorsement authorizing assignment at the middle school level. Required
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective literacy instruction. Preferred
- Ability to pass required Washington State Patrol, FBI, and district background checks. Required
- Experience teaching middle school English Language Arts. Preferred
- Experience implementing research-based literacy interventions. Preferred
- Experience working with multilingual learners and diverse student populations.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom practices.
- Experience using student data to improve instructional outcomes.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, learning management systems, and instructional technology.
- Demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive teaching and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and the diverse communities served by Toppenish School District.
RCW 49.58.110 REQUIREMENTSYearly Salary Range: $60,092 - $118,375 (Depending on Experience & Education)
