Title: Registered Dental Hygienist - COHI (Children's Oral Health Initiative)

Status: Permanent Full-time
What You'll Do - Removal of subgingival and supra gingival calculus and stains to clinical crowns of teeth
- Access and document Xray's in the digital environment
- Expert knowledge of Office equipment: telephone, Xerox, Microsoft office suite, AbelDent
- Comprehensive knowledge of the code of ethics of the Dental Profession to ensure conformation to recognized standards
Children's Oral Health Initiative - Conduct oral health screenings to survey and determine the oral health status and preventive needs of eligible children
- Research, develop, and design educational materials and presentations using current research and statistical data with disease prevention, health promotion and protection.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of COHI promotional activities such as attending community events (health fairs, pow wows, education days etc.) with program booth displays and provide educational resources and information to community members
- Cultural competency or willing to take training in cultural competency given the clients candidates will be seeing
What You Bring - Diploma in Dental Hygiene is required
- Registration to practice Dental hygiene in Ontario
- HARP qualified
- Current CPR certification
- Sounds knowledge of the operation and handling of dental equipment; air driven hand pieces, Ultrasonic hand pieces, Dental units, compressor and suction units, chairs, sterilizers, VLC units, Radiographic equipment, operating lights.
- Valid G driver's license
- Ability to communicate in the local Cree language is an asset

Salary: $75,816.00 - $101,653.50
