The Work
We are seeking innovative, collaborative leaders to support this transformation.
This role emphasizes cross-organization collaboration and solution architecture. The Test Engineering Lead interfaces with product teams, Cross-BA teams, stakeholders, and SEIT leadership to test and deliver digital solutions that support the 1LMX transformation.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute test plans for 1LMX RMS hardware and software components.
• Perform root cause analysis of test failures and work with cross functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Automate test procedures using automation tools to improve repeatability and reduce cycle time.
• Maintain test documentation in accordance with DoD and aerospace standards (e.g., MIL STD 810, DO 254).
• Support configuration management and data integrity for test artifacts.
• Lead, across product teams, engineers in the planning, execution, and reporting of system level tests for 1LMX RMS products.
• Define test strategies, risk mitigation plans, and verification criteria aligned with program milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical reviews, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Interface with program management, hardware/software leads, and external customers to communicate test status and results.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including test automation frameworks and metric based reporting.
Who You Are
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Engineering Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience and/or knowledge of automated test approaches, automated test technologies, test case architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Basic Qualifications
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; M.S. preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace or defense test engineering.
• Strong knowledge of industry test tools used in test automation.
Desired skills
• Experience with Rotary and Mission Line of Business (LOB) critical systems.
• Exposure to model based design and model-based testing.
• Experience with integrated test facilities and real time simulation environments.
• Knowledge of Agile practices as applied to systems testing.
• Knowledge of IBM ELM product Suite
• Interest in AI technologies
Ability to work remotely
Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $141,300 - $244,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
