What you will be doing

The CentralFillPharmacist-in-Charge(PIC)would be responsible for assisting with the operations of a closed-door pharmacy following all applicable laws and regulations, managing Pharmacy Technicians, Clerks, Inventory Staff, and Fulfillment Specialists. This position allows for job satisfaction for those who enjoy planning, organizing, and implementing their ideas to see them come to fruition. It is a position for those who thrive and find personal enrichment in developing continuous improvements for workflow, teambuilding, and producing the best product possible. This person should appreciate and be comfortable with technology as well as being a leader of a large team with diverse set of skills and functions.

The position will be based in Irving, TX and is an onsite role. This position is a salaried management position.
Main responsibilities People Leadership
  • Responsible for ensuring superior morale and effective management of all team member programs.
  • Assist the General Manager in the selection, mentorship, training, and performance management of on- site staff to optimize production processes.
  • Develop and enhance team member engagement and empowerment, to foster problem-solving and accountability while supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Lead the safety program to ensure a Safety-First working environment and culture.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Directs the efforts to ensure best in class service delivery and efficiency in alignment with Albertsons service and compliance goals.
  • Assist with acquisition of initial site licensing and serve as home state Pharmacist in Charge (PIC).
  • Responsible for ongoing compliance with applicable boards for pharmacy, Federal, State and Local regulations, and ACI policies.
  • Can understand, explain, and apply principle statutory instructions/regulations.
  • Appropriately escalate issues relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive training program including mandatory company annual training, pharmacy SOP's, and any required compliance trainings.


Operational Excellence
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to manage the daily operations of the Central Fill Pharmacy, including continuously developing workflow process improvements that drive efficiency, customer service, and KPIs.
  • Develop projects, reports, strategies that support the goals of the site and organization, and proactively identify production issues.
  • Gives work direction, resolves issues, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work to meet team objectives within specified target dates.

  • Develops, evaluates, and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for all operational functions.


Strategic Partnership & Collaboration
  • Establishes and maintains constructive working relationships with other site leaders and business leaders across Albertsons.
  • Partners with selective business entities within the Albertsons family of companies and Centralized Services teams to drive innovation and service optimization.
  • Serve in a leadership role for oversight and other visits.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience
  • B.S. or Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
  • Hold and maintain a clean Pharmacist Licensure in Texas and Louisiana.
  • Must complete all required state, federal, and company training (i.e. HIPAA, CDR, I-pledge, etc.)
  • 2+ years as a previous PIC.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
  • Visual requirements include clarity of vision at more than 20 inches and less than 50 feet with depth perception and field of vision.
  • Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must participate in the production line floor at least 25% of a shift.
