Work you'll do

As a Senior Infra and DevOps Cloud Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for:

Consult with clients on the design of Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments
Install, configure, automate, and monitor cloud platform services
Maintain DevOps environments based on client requirements
Support system migrations and upgrades to build and deploy cloud environments
Mentor and support junior team members

This opportunity sits within our Deloitte US Delivery Center model, which is dedicated to driving impactful business services. It leverages Deloitte's scale and talent, as well as a center delivery model to provide high-quality, cost-effective service with standardized processes and procedures to service businesses across Deloitte.

The Deloitte US Delivery Center has a small-business feel with a big-business impact. With the resources of Deloitte and a community feel, the delivery center model provides high-quality services to our clients. USDC professionals work out of one of our specific delivery center locations, and each location presents dynamic career opportunities for professionals to focus on their work with nominal travel requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS DevOps, Terraform, and automation scripting with Python, Bash, or Ansible
Ability to work in a hybrid model while residing within a commutable distance of Gilbert, Lake Mary, or Mechanicsburg, or GeoHub locations in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, or Philadelphia
Ability to spend up to 30% of working time co-located at an assigned office, approved site, or project location
Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

Experience with AWS Lambda, Node.js, Python, or Go
Experience with AWS infrastructure services, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Block Store (EBS), Elastic File System (EFS), Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), and Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Experience administering Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, or Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, or 2022
AWS Associate- or Professional-level certifications; Red Hat Linux system administration certification; or HashiCorp Terraform certification
Experience with cloud operations, including backup, patching, vulnerability management, and server hardening
Experience with CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS), or AWS Fargate
