The Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of servicing of larger, more complex accounts as well as the health of the client relationship on all of their assigned accounts and service new business as it comes in and to create new business opportunities through cross selling existing clients and attending industry related functions

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

The duties of the Account Manager include, but are not limited to:

Client Servicing: responsible for assigned book of business as assigned as outlined in Fine Art Account Manager Service Standards- renewals, endorsements, invoicing, Schedules and Certificates
Provide prompt and courteous service by responding to client inquires with 24 hours of receipt
Execute coverage analysis: enlist assistance of Commercial Department where applicable; notify client of coverage gaps; provide client with quotation for additional coverages; document our proposal and client’s acceptance/declination in agency management system
Cross-Sell other lines of coverage: introduce applicable department to assist with this process as necessary
Responsible for lost business; renewal book to be maintained at 95%
Liaise with Claims Department providing assistance with difficult claims with respect to industry practice, policy language, recommendation of adjuster, appraiser, etc.
Remarket existing accounts as client requests or market environment warrants
Marketing: actively network at trade / industry functions as directed / requested, which include gallery openings trade luncheons, and conventions/fairs
Provide support / assistance to Team Leader on new and existing business as directed
Act as backup to all accounts of Account Executive and Team Leader as necessary
Maintain positive relationships with markets; advise Team Leader of changes/problems with markets; stay abreast of market changes with respect to: pricing, risk appetites, available capacity, position on catastrophic coverages
All other duties as assigned by Team Leader

Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-10 years of commercial brokerage experience, Fine Art experience a plus
College degree preferred
Valid NY P&C Brokers’ license
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in insurance agency management systems, AMS 360 and Work Smart preferred
Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional organization and time-management skills

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $70,000 - $115,000. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
