Job Description

This role is a hyflex work arrangement: Approximately 1 day onsite per week in Red Wing, MN headquarters office, with remote work eligibility the remainder of the week.

As the Director over Project Management Office (PMO) and Business Systems Analysis (BSA), you will be a key leader within our organization responsible for overseeing and optimizing project management processes, as well as driving excellence in business systems analysis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and aligning business objectives with organizational roadmaps and company strategy. You will be instrumental in establishing best practices, driving innovation, and enhancing overall project performance and efficiency.

PMO Leadership:

Develop and implement the PMO strategy, goals, and objectives, aligning them with the organization's overall business strategy.

Provide leadership and direction to the project management team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Oversee the execution and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Establish project management methodologies, tools, and standards, and ensure their adoption across the organization.

Monitor and enterprise-wide project health, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.

BSA Leadership:

Lead a team of business systems analysts, fostering their growth, and providing guidance on best practices for requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear and actionable requirements for technology solutions.

Ensure support of existing systems by providing ongoing maintenance, issue resolution, user support, and system enhancements to ensure optimal functionality and alignment with evolving business needs.

Portfolio Management:

Oversee the management of the company wide project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, resource capacity and budget.

Collaborate with senior leadership and director level cross-functional team to prioritize projects and initiatives based on business value, ROI, and strategic fit.

Drive annual planning efforts, evaluating project feasibility and resource requirements, providing recommendations to senior leadership.

Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and budget utilization across the portfolio and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

Oversee company-wide Continuous Improvement function, including project intake, prioritization, sequencing, funding, and execution.

Manage Essential Projects: Select and oversee projects that enhance daily operations, compliance, and infrastructure maintenance.

Drive Independent Initiatives: Manage projects that focus on cost reduction or revenue growth.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) and from four-year college or university and ten to fifteen years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certified or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies: Familiarity with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and the ability to tailor them to suit the organization's needs is valuable.

Experience with PMO Tools: Familiarity with project management software, collaboration tools, and other PMO-related technologies is advantageous.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
