The Workday HR Compensation Operations Manager will support the Workday compensation administration for ongoing compensation management and for merit and bonus cycle and address any dependencies with the performance management process.

On a day-to-day basis the Workday HR Compensation Operations Manager will participate in all design, test, and go-live activities required to complete the planning for the performance, bonus, and merit cycle. R1 has been live on Workday for a little over 18 months and will be launching Advanced Compensation in January 2024. After implementation, the Workday HR Compensation Operations Manager will continue to support the ongoing compensation administration and advanced compensation (merit and bonus) processes including data governance activities and enhancement planning.

The Workday HR Compensation Operations Manager will join the HR Employee Services team which provides centralized HR support to the organization and will work closely with the Total Rewards COE and other COEs.

Responsibilities:

Support the Total Rewards team in making design decisions with a focus on Workday best practices and configuration capabilities.
Partner with all stakeholders including CoEs, HR Business Partners and HRIT to understand the business strategy and collaborate within and across teams to provide business process (BP) advice and to resolve problems.
Provide subject matter expert support for the planning and execution of all test phases, including preparation and review of test scenarios and scripts and performing test execution as needed. Develop project deliverables including creation of work plans, schedules, milestones, and staffing for each phase of project, independently, or in conjunction with management.
Act as an escalation point for issues raised by countries, analysts, or other partners throughout design, test, cutover, and hypercare activities related to Workday Compensation.
Represent the Total Rewards CoE vertical related to Workday design and impacts, providing subject matter expert input during meetings with other HR functional teams such as Performance, HCM, Recruiting, and HRIT. Partner with these teams as required to support the overall delivery within project timelines.
Proactively identify process efficiency opportunities with technology enhancements in Workday for Compensation and Advanced Compensation by exploring and maintaining knowledge of new features and releases and relating them to business needs
Support EIB submissions process, validation, and approval to load to PROD for compensation related events. Partners closely with HR Global Shared Services on any kick outs or manual correction support needed.
Maintain compensation elements that exist in Workday like job profiles, job families, compensation grades, compensation ranges with a keen focus on tenant and worker impact for holistic solutioning.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Human Resources, or Data Processing OR 7 years experience to include 5 years experience working with an HRMS system to include the ability to express complex concepts in terms understandable to the customer community.
Understanding of how technology and IT affects the HR division and ability to link to business processes.
5 years experience working with HR systems and/or systems support.
3 years experience working in a position utilizing project management skills to include project management methodology; organizing, planning and executing projects from vision through implementation; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives.
Relevant experience working with Workday Compensation, supporting the implementation and business as usual operation of the Workday product in a global organization including the completion of at least two Advanced Compensation cycles for merit and bonus.
Strong communication and change management skills with an ability to work virtually over multiple time zones and cultures.
Teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with peers, team members, management; ability to be a team player, flexible, friendly, and enthusiastic.
Ability to be in non-hierarchical organization, operate under dual reporting relationship; and ability to thrive in an unstructured hands-on environment.
Experience in Workday Performance Management is desirable.
Workday Pro Certifications in Compensation preferred
