The HYPEBEAST Editorial team is looking for a highly organized and creative Podcast Producer with extensive audio and video production experience to join the editorial video department. The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing 1-hour podcasts in both video and audio-only formats, booking guests, working with talent to create compelling show rundowns, producing and editing viral social clips, and be in charge of overall creative for a well-known and highly regarded podcast.

The Podcast Producer should have a passion for engaging podcast content and must possess the ability to modify that content for Hypebeast across multiple audio and social platforms - and understand the consumption habits of each platform. In addition to conceptual thinking, the ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, producing, and editing skills as well as extensive knowledge of all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production. This producer should have some experience working with brands and branded content as well.

Responsibilities:

Develop show rundowns and work with host to craft compelling segments and topics, write scripts and copy for both original and branded content
Responsible for the overall creative and production of the podcast
Continually brainstorm and develop new content and episode ideas, ensuring consistency across all podcast areas
Craft snackable and engaging viral social clips that can be used across different channels to propel and grow audience
Lead podcast creative and be in constant contact with host to brainstorm new ideas
Edit episodes and short form content when necessary
Package, upload and release podcast episodes on a consistent basis across Hypebeast and partner platforms
Oversee podcast episodes from inception to completion, including conceptualizing, writing, and managing all content
Manage overall podcast budget
Assist in securing, scheduling, and managing all guests and talent taking part in the podcast
Manage the weekly physical production schedule of the podcast
Develop and foster working relationships with external partners and sales team
Work with the sales team to create content that can be easily sold to brand partners
Work closely with the Director of Video to uphold the standards of the HYPEBEAST brand
Continually improve efficiency and enforce the production process
Ensure all productions are wrapped in a timely manner and within budget

Requirements:

Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in podcast production, applicants without podcast experience will not be considered
3+ years of experience in video production
Competent video and audio editor with a focus on both social video and narrative
A great storyteller - can exhibit highly conceptual thinking and writing skills
Demonstrated experience in scriptwriting
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent editorial judgment
Good rolodex - has relationships with the fashion, streetwear, and footwear community at large
Thorough understanding of the editorial process from beginning to end
Strong interpersonal, people management, and time management skills
Ability to juggle several projects at one time often under tight deadlines
Easily adaptable, willing to adjust to changing needs of the team
Demonstrated ability on Adobe Creative Suite
BIG BONUS but not required: Can also be on camera/on-air when necessary

$75,000 - $100,000 a year

The Podcast Producer role salary typically ranges from $75,000 to $100,000. Your actual compensation will be determined based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
