Supervisor Title: Plant Manager

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

A highly visible Supply Chain role that is responsible for developing and executing a demand plan and inventory plan for several food categories to enable the company to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales and marketing, and customer support teams is an essential function for this role. Leads a team of Supply Planners to deliver KPI results and process improvement.

Essential Duties:

25% - Strategic and tactical Supply Planning, including approving Copacker PO’s up to $2MM and management of +$75MM in inventory.
15% - Cross functional collaboration as part of S&OP process and primary owner of Supply Review
40% - Leading a planning team and managing talent development & evaluation of current team’s abilities. This is inclusive of tool development as necessary to improve tracking when ERP system isn’t capable of doing so
10% - Presenting data to stakeholders and motivating / influencing them to make the best business decision given all available information
10% - Evaluate KPIs and ensure consistency in accountabilities

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree Required

Additional information:

Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in supply planning, demand planning and S&OP preferably in a CPG company.

Specialized Training/Certification:

Microsoft Office Suite – Required
ERP Experience Required
APICS - Preferred

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well on cross-functional teams.
Highly effective manager with ability to evaluate, develop, and manage direct reports of varying skill levels.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into plans, actions and improvements. In addition to managing the team, this is a hands-on position that requires the candidate to roll-up their sleeves and complete regularly scheduled and on demand analytics, as well as verifying all plans coming out of the team area streamlined & accurate.
Must be able to multitask and re-prioritize workload frequently
Must be detail oriented and extremely organized.

Organizational Relationships:

Internal Stakeholders

Plants – Weekly / Monthly – KPI Performance Review, new item launch collaboration and overall relationship management
Supply Planners – Daily – Performance management and issue resolution
Inventory Analysts – Daily – Decision support when business conflict arises between deployment needs and inventory capacity
Brand Management – Daily – Changes in Demand or Supply Plan. Mutual information sharing on New Items & Promotions.

External Stakeholders

Contract Packers – Weekly / Monthly – KPI Performance Review, new item launch collaboration and overall relationship management
3PL partners – weekly – Key leader in Service Continuous Improvement process in conjunction with Warehousing and Transportation Partners

Supervisory/Functional Management Requirements:

Manages a single function with supervisory responsibility and has budget responsibility
Directly supervises 4 supply planners and 6 supply chain rail employees
Indirectly supervises 12 employees working for direct reports
