The primary focus of this role is to work closely with operations, maintenance and IT to trouble-shoot issues and develop and implement process control and network improvement strategies across the site on a daily basis.
Represent the University and its interests in the community by managing ongoing relationships with the local community and the regulatory community and ensure that the Central Utilities plant meets goals for servicing the customer.
Schedule and facilitate design and project status meetings with contractors, consultants, plant personnel, and management; determine functional requirements for new equipment and identify upgrade requirements.
Responsible for supporting the philosophy, "the goal is zero" in his/her job routine. Works to attain the purpose, "zero injuries, zero process incidents, zero distribution incidents, and zero environmental incidents.
Setup, maintain and provide guidance on global work sharing with plant design software; analyze software issues, suggest workarounds where possible, and report bugs to software vendors when appropriate.
Develop, implement and/or maintain comprehensive management systems in support of company corporate and plant HES policies, procedures and programs; serve as a site technical resource for HES programs.
