Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules; coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
This position requires significant leadership skills coupled with extensive materials management experience and understanding. The successful candidate will be able to inspire a team to achieve excellence in customer service.
Monitor materials/good movement to determine if inventory needs to be increased or decreased to meet customer's production needs; plans forecasts and schedule material needs according to production schedules and lead times.
Maintain advanced knowledge of Electrical and General Construction codes, and be the construction Subject Matter Expert for the branch; work with the Branch Operations Manager to increase or decrease construction capacity as needed.
Proactively and regularly review and analyze spares parts planning methodologies and processes and understand all elements that impact planning and buying/spend decisions, and proactively adjust as required.
Work with fellow team members, development engineers and operations teams on complex problems, and make decisions and recommendations about database improvements after analyzing possible courses of conduct.
