Regulatory affairs (RA) professionals are responsible for ensuring regulatory and legal compliance within a company. Many businesses are heavily regulated, including banking, energy, telecom, pharmaceuticals and more, so regulatory professionals make sure the business is in line with all legal and regulatory requirements. This involves working with federal, state and local agencies and personnel. Global laws and regulations also apply in some areas, particularly new drugs and healthcare products. Qualifications include a four-year degree in a relevant field, experience in the field and advanced certification.
